Tammy Byington

Circumstances

Tammy Byington was severely injured in a car accident on September 9th 2005 when her car collided with a tree. Her extensive injuries include a fractured neck, pelvis, fractured jaws, and all of her ribs were broken. She also has severe eye injuries and is facing future surgeries to address the problems with her eyes. She was in a coma for three weeks and the full extent of her traumatic brain injury is still unknown. She currently has to wear a “Halo” to stabilize her neck and will require extensive therapy in the upcoming months and years.

After 2 months in the hospital her family has accrued staggering medical bills with more expenses yet to come.

Tammy, her husband and 14 year old daughter have been physically, financially and emotionally devastated by this event. The prognosis for Tammy’s recovery is good, but resources are needed to ensure that she recovers to the full extent possible. Any assistance is greatly appreciated and much needed.
